听力考试的第三节考察考生获取特定信息，理解主旨要义和详细信息，猜测词义，判断说话者的态度、意图的能力。考生根据听到的三段独白或者对话材料(每段200-300词)，从每题所给的4个选项中选出最佳选项。注意该小节录音材料将只播放一遍。问题在提干中给出，不再在录音中播放。第一、二段独白或者对话播放录音前有15秒的'答题时间，第一遍录音放完后有30秒答题时间，第三段独白或者对话播放录音前有20秒的答题时间，第一遍录音放完后有40秒答题时间。考试进行时，考生先将答案写在试卷上;听力部分结束前，考生有5分钟的时间将考试卷上的答案誊写或砖土道答题卡上。
